Han-San Battle Festival (Tong-Yeong)

To feel the great victory of the Hansan Battle, Tongyeong, the battlefield of the Hansan Battle, which was considered the greatest naval battle among the four major naval battles in the world, is held every year in mid-August to commemorate the victory of Admiral Yi Sun-shin. Events will be held where visitors can vividly feel the scenes of history, including the procession of Admiral Yi Sun-shin, the commander of the Samdo-soo, and the reenactment of the military inspection of the Joseon Dynasty, Gunjeom and the Hansan Battle. In particular, the reenactment of the Hansan Battle, in which Joseon and Japanese ships actually face each other off the coast of Hansan and fire guns with colorful fireworks, produces wonderful scenes as if watching a scene from a movie. Yi Sun-shin Water Park has been opened for children, and various experience programs such as a turtle boat rowing competition and sea archery experience are prepared.
