Bamboo Forest & Meta Provence

The Damyang Bamboo Forest(Juknokwon) as it's known in korea, is a 25 acre complex full of hiking trails, man-made bamboo, waterfalls and much more. The bamboo forest is easily one of the most fun and enchanting places I’ve visited in South Korea.

Meta provence is a tour village modeled after Europe villages with long history. Located in Damyang of Jeollanamdo provience, Meta provence is composed of Meta provence complex, Meta pension, and other facilities in order to provide visitors convenience with wonderful attractions. Damyang Metasequoia Road is located in Damyang County (Damyang-gun), Jeollanam-do. The road is lined with the Metasequoia (Dawn Redwood) Trees. The road was named as one of the most beautiful roads in South Korea in 2006 and it is frequently seen in some famous Korean dramas, movies and entertainment programs. No matter what kind of weather or season you visit the famous road, you'll be amazed with the beauty of the road and the fresh air from the trees and farm.
